Margaret Bromfield

Margaret (Maggie) was raised in the village of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. From an early age, she demonstrated a strong commitment to her studies, breaking traditional career expectations for a country girl.
Despite not attending one of Jamaica’s top high schools, she excelled academically and was named valedictorian in her senior year.
Margaret has had a distinguished career in both the government and life insurance sectors in Jamaica. She later earned her accounting degree from Florida Atlantic University and went on to work for IBM in Purchase, New York, as an Accounting Analyst. Her career spans work with government entities such as Martin County, Palm Beach County, the City of Hollywood, and the US Census Bureau.
An avid reader, Margaret is passionate about helping young people discover the joy of reading and boosting their self-esteem. She tutors for and serves on the Board of Love 2 Read Inc., and is a founding member of the Dr. Larry W. Howell Book Club, Inc. Margaret also serves as Treasurer for Soroptimist International of Stuart and works with teachers in Jamaica to provide educational supplies to students in need.
Guided by the principle "do unto others as you would have them do unto you," Margaret is dedicated to educating and supporting the younger generation. Her warmth, encouragement, and community spirit make her a constant source of inspiration and strength.
