Our Journey
We began our careers as educators dedicated to sharing our love of reading with the students we cherish and care for deeply. Together, we—Krystle, Lauren, and Mandy—soon discovered the power of the multisensory, Structured Literacy Approach grounded in the Science of Reading. This approach has been particularly beneficial for students who struggle with reading.

Mandy also embraced the use of the Strategic Instruction Model (SIM) learning strategies, which both Krystle and Lauren have incorporated into their teaching to enhance vocabulary, comprehension, and written expression. We provide tutoring in reading, spelling, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing, ensuring a comprehensive literacy experience for our students.

As specialized reading tutors, our work is anchored in the Orton-Gillingham approach, the explicit phonics approach, and various programs in which we have received training. These include the Wilson Reading System, Wilson Fundations, Mayerson Academy, the University of Florida Literacy Initiative, and the S.P.I.R.E. reading program, where we have developed our skills as trainers and instructional coaches.

We are eager to help our colleagues learn and implement this instruction with fidelity, thereby reaching more students and their families. As you know, the need to raise literacy levels in our community and across the nation is immense. Will you join us?
